Jacque Tiongco is a self-taught artist, born and based in Manila, Philippines. She experimented with different mediums but over time she discovered that ink art is what she want to pursue. Jacque has always been fascinated with black and white illustrations, may it be minimalist or complex.
“There is something powerful in black and white art, for one would focus on the subject matter and the technique in a different level. With the absence of color, each line or dot evokes a certain emotion into the piece as it tries to captivate the viewer.”
Jacque’s art is mostly ink illustrations that are reminiscent of her emotions or interests at a certain time. Her techniques vary from stippling / pointillism and scribbling to doodle art and zentangles.
