Rommel Joson graduated magna cum laude and College Valedictorian from the University of Philippines College of Fine Arts. He also holds a degree in Business Management and a Dean’s Awards for Visual Arts from the Ateneo de Manila University. He is currently a lecturer at the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts and is represented by Galerie Stephanie.
Rommel has received awards for painting, illustration, comics, and design from various organizations such as the Philippine Board of Books for the Young, the Shell National Art Competition, the Neil Gaiman Fully Booked Graphic Fiction Competition, the Adobo Design Awards, and the Philippine Araw Awards.
