Isang Salita Series was started back in September 2016 by Filipino graphic designer Paulo Dela Cruz. It was inspired by a designer from New York who turned words into images.
The challenge was to show what the word means without changing the look of the letters drastically.
“Dapat unang tingin magets agad ang meaning and at the same time, mababasa pa din yung word. It’s a fun design exercise and people asked me to print some of the designs on shirts.” -Pau Dela Cruz
